Context, Tools, and Interfaces for AI

In the Practical AI session that I offer, I talk a lot about how Context, Tools, and Interfaces can fundamentally change how useful AI is.

Moltbot (FKA Clawdbot) launched with a huge bang this week because it’s a great example of all how useful AI can be when you focus on all three of those for your AI products.

Moltbot is an AI assistant that you can run on your own hardware (Mac, Windows, cloud computer, and more). Because it runs on hardware you control:
– You can give it access to all your data (Context)
– It can use the hardware and software to do anything (Tools)
– You can interact with it in a variety of ways, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, iMessage (Interfaces)

This is another glimpse into the future, when AI will be built into your computer and phone and can become a true assistant. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Lenovo, HP, Dell, and all the other hardware and operating system companies better be paying attention.

Obviously, giving AI this level of access to your data, hardware, and software can be risky, so be careful if you’re going to test it out.

This gives a pretty good summary.

And this is a quick way to get started.
