OpenAI Operator Early Experiments

OpenAI Operator ordered a computer monitor on Amazon for someone on my team!

Here’s the prompt:

Ship it to: INSERT NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE

Use the default credit card on the account. Just add the monitor to the cart, no need to ask for confirmation. You can also save that address to the account.

With some login help and a few confirmation questions that required me to say “yes”, it worked great!

You can also sometimes overcome the confirmation requests by telling it to just take the action in the original prompt and giving in the information it needs.

A small time saver, but also shows what it can do.

We’ve since moved on to a much longer and much more complicated task, and so far Operator has done great with some lessons and iteration on the prompt.

This kind of tool is going to be a huge time saver. Less time on busy work, more time on value-creating work.
